It's more than just a business venture -it's a love of camping, enthusiasm for guests and a dedication to providing unmatched service. Jimmy and Pam Spang, owners of the Cripple Creek KOA, have all of those qualities and more. "Jimmy has been looking at owning a KOA almost since the first time we stayed at one" said Pam. "Having his own KOA has been his dream for the past 20 years." Owning a KOA allows us to spend time together doing what we love - camping." Before joining KOA, Jimmy was an electrical contractor and Pam was a department manager at Wal-Mart. They understood the importance of putting the needs of customers first, and their skills and abilities were well matched to the KOA philosophy. "We believe that every camping experience should be a great memorable adventure," Jimmy said. "We pay attention to the details to make sure that our customers want to come back to us time and time again. Our philosophy is to treat our customers how we want to be treated, and Pam and I live by this philosophy" While providing great guest service remains their primary focus, Jimmy and Pam take pride in every aspect of their campground. They plan to make the park more horse-friendly by adding a stable and horse camping sites, and they've already completed newly level pull-through sites. "Both Jimmy and I are pleased with the changes that we've made," said Pam. "And we plan on making many more. I love landscaping and decorating, and I want our campground to welcome our campers to the mountains, where they'll find peace, relaxation and serenity." In their off hours, Jimmy and Pam can be found traveling in their RV, horseback riding or riding Jimmy's Harley Davidson Ultra. Both say "The Colorado mountains are a fabulous setting for these activities. The roads and scenery for riding the Harley are outstanding. What more could we ask for?"
